The big news of the week is, of course, that somebody got close enough to Trump to make a real attempt to kill him.
This has opened up a floodgate of horrible responses from people on the rightleft. Listening to Allyson drop people from her friends list on social media has been almost terrifying in its intensity.
Libs Of TikTok has made it a personal mission to expose many of the people who are calling for the assassination of Trump.
I think the most vile thing I’ve seen are “Hopes and Prayers for the shooter and his family.”
Allyson is dealing with a massive shift in politics. I’ve described it as she was standing in the ocean near the shore. Suddenly, the waters just swept out, leaving her standing on shore with all the rest of the right.
It is frightening to her. I’m not so sure of how much she has changed, though she has, but how much the left has just lost it.
I’m trying to figure out this X thing. I want to have each post automaticity go to X but the autopost isn’t working for scheduled posts and when it does post, it is a pretty sad-looking post.

We are in warfare right now. Simply as that.
Lins of TikTok is just applying Alinski’s Rules the same way (some may say a tad better) than the Left has been doing for over a decade.
Again, it is warfare they thought they wanted, but never considered the possible casualties.
My only fear is that the “Compassionate Conservatives” will get weepy and demand we stop because feelings of justice that the Left never intends to reciprocate.
Make them hurt till they shut up, move to Canada and quit screwing with us.

?? Most of that has come from the progressive / left, to my observation.

Thankfully, the Progressive plans are failing.

There was a meme popularized by Rocketman a bit back w/ stick figures on a political spectrum line. The person on the ‘far’ left ran even farther left then called the left of center person a bigot.
He was attacked relentlessly for it… by the left.

The poor kid who tried to shoot Trump is beyond the “hopes and prayers” stage. His next event is judgement day. But feeling sympathy for his parents and family is not inappropriate. They may have been aware their son was mentally ill in so some way but it’s unlikely they were aware of his nefarious plans. This event has to be incredibly difficult for them.
