There are a zillion books out there on various aspects of prepping, and I can’t recommend them ALL. But these are some I consider to be truly important, or they’re ones that have been recommended highly by others. I’m going to stick stuff in categories to help make it easier to look through.

SELF-SUFFICIENCY

MED/FIRST AID

SECURITY/SELF-DEFENSE

GENERAL SKILLS

CRAFTING/DIY

FICTION

  1. I am going to add one more.
The Way Things Work, by David Macauly
    https://www.amazon.com/Way-Things-Work-Now/dp/0544824385/ref=asc_df_0544824385?hvadid=80814158255168&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=112198&hvtargid=pla-4584413735960738&psc=1

Too many people have no idea how or why things work the way the do. That is a detriment to survival. While this book does not teach any skills, it does provide a lot of information on how everyday things perform their jobs. Want to fix something? Know how it is supposed to work first. And, this book is a great way to learn that valuable knowledge.

      1. Thanks!
It’s not a survival book, but it will help you survive, repair, and build the stuff we are all reliant on every day.
Plus it’s a fun, geeky read.

  2. I like:
98.6, Keep Your Ass Alive & When All Hell Breaks Loose by Cody Lundin
Survival Medicine by Dr. Joe Alton
    Good, practical advice.
