As some astute readers might have noted, Jimmy Carter is, in my not so humble opinion, the worst president to ever serve.
His utter spinelessness on the world stage led to the Middle East exploding with violence. His inability to trust the military lead to the deaths of soldiers in a sandstorm in Iran.
His sanctimonious platitudes let the Muslim world know that the United States was morally weak and unwilling to stand up for what was right.
His actions after the “students” took the US Embassy the first time led to the marines being disarmed when the “students” attacked and took the Embassy and held US citizens hostage for over a year.
I hope he is frying in Hell for what he did to my country and the world.
Side note, the day after the students took the Embassy the second time the skies over my home were free of navy aircraft for the first time ever. A couple of weeks later, one of my friends, a Tomcat driver, explained to me that he had been flying around us and for those two weeks was in flying on the other side of the ocean. The military was ready to take action within 24 hours of the Embassy being taken. Their commander in chief decided to sit with his thumb where the sun doesn’t shine.
Since that day, every Muslim terrorist attack can be traced back to that time of weakness. Reagan made them back down but everybody on the world stage knows that when there is a Democrat sitting in the Oval Office, the United States is weak.
Yesterday Iran got to Find Out. The president of the United States, using the authority given to him by Congress, acting with the Israelis, took out the Iranian regime.
Thank you Trump.

its odd and slightly unnerving that some social media mouths are screaming that doing anything to Iran is just a distraction that the elites want. what I have seen from real Iranian people is we just booted radical inslam from Iran. its a step in the right direction. may it continue to spread worldwide…
That so-called religion is a blight on the planet. Not so much a religion as a political system of oppression and control. Yet, there’s Europe trying to commit migrant religious suicide.
.
The faster that religion is destroyed, the better. If there is one mindset that is anti-civilization, it is islam.
Oh, it’s pro-civilization … it’s just that the one it’s for is pretty awful by modern Western standards.
.
Seriously, recall that Islam has never had an equivalent of the Christian Reformation. From what I know of it, it’s not likely to, either – too many, and too harsh, proscriptions against apostasy make it likely the reformers would be killed before getting very far.
Well, in fairness it took almost 1500 years for the Reformation to start, and Islam wasn’t invented quite that long ago. Yes, it’s a medieval homicidal cult — not all that different other than maybe in degree from what the Dutch got to experience at the hand of Philip II’s Inquisition back in the late 1500s.
The difference between the two, is the Christian Reformation was (arguably) the first. Prior to that, the religions were, for the most part, Judaism and a whole host of multi-theist religions. Yes, I know, that is a gross oversimplification, but it works for this comment.
.
It took the Christians 1500 years to hit a reformation. They set a precedent, and demonstrated it was possible. Any religion of any size that arose afterward has that as an example of how to do it right. Yet, the muslims are going in the opposite direction, and are trying to drag every other religion down with them.
.
Besides, islam has been around for 1400+ years already. Even if they required the same time line, where are the rumblings of a reformation?
Somebody needs to remind Congress that they DID, in fact, grant the Executive authority to unilaterally order limited military actions.
.
All I’m hearing from Congress-critters right now — from BOTH sides of the aisle, including some normally-reasonable folks — is that Trump violated the Constitution when he ordered “acts of war” without Congressional approval or an official Congressional Declaration of War.
.
And all I want to do is slap some of them and remind them that “limited military actions” are not “war,” Congress DID grant the President authority for such limited actions, and they need to check their history and facts before engaging in full-blown TDS hate-spewing. Because the more they talk, the more they sound like they won’t be satisfied unless the President is required to seek a separate Act of Congress — in real time — for every individual bullet fired, but only for as long as Trump occupies the White House.
