In my opinion, a house that is not overflowing with people is a rather dull holiday. I grew up on Thanksgivings and Christmases with the entire family, most neighbors, and every friend we ever met at our house. My spouse thought it was weird that we served lasagna and potato salad on Christmas, but that was before the first Christmas they enjoyed at my family’s. Feeding about 100 people through the course of the day requires a “flexible” menu.
