Younger Americans are the most supportive of political violence. The poll shows that one in three Americans under 45 years old believes that political violence is justified. Setting the Record Straight: Texas Did Not Enter the Union by Treaty

The United States did attempt to annex Texas through a treaty. In April 1844, President John Tyler’s administration negotiated a treaty of annexation with the Republic of Texas. This treaty was submitted to the United States Senate for ratification. When the Senate voted on June 8, 1844, the treaty was decisively rejected by a vote of 35 to 16, falling far short of the two-thirds majority required for ratification. President Tyler then proposed using a joint resolution of Congress instead of a treaty. A joint resolution requires only a simple majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, rather than the two-thirds Senate majority required for treaties. On February 28, 1845, Congress passed the Texas Annexation Joint Resolution by narrow margins: 120-98 in the House and 27-25 in the Senate. Liberals are organizing to STORM congressional offices in Washington, D.C. on November 20th to demand President Trump’s impeachment.
One of the organizers laid it out clearly in a livestream:
“It’s time to remove the regime. We have to remove him from power… The way we take him out of power is the people sitting in those offices on Capitol Hill say enough is enough and push forth articles of impeachment.”
They’re calling the event the “Remove the Regime Rally,” a three-day mobilization planned for November 20–22, with crowds expected to fill the streets around the Capitol.
“We are going to come with big numbers and go up onto Capitol Hill and make our voices heard… We are going to peaceably go into these offices and demand that they support articles of impeachment.”
The man even hinted at escalating tactics: “If they don’t got the balls enough to impeach him, we will take their job and do it for them with the next crew we bring in… We need progressive Democrats with balls enough to stand up.”
He closed his rant by urging influencers and activists nationwide to travel to D.C. and pressure lawmakers directly.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.
Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your “home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.
In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the common good.
Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules.. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self-esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem.
If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at leastattempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.
AND While you are on government subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a government welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.
