FBEL – El Salvador

If I’m in enemy territory right now, it’s because I’m under cover of darkness, cloaked in mystery, and mistaken for a friend. I spend at least a few minutes each day, reading the news and whispering, “What the actual fuck…” over and over again. It’s depressing. Yes, I realize most of you have been doing that for ages, but hey, I’m new here.

Yesterday morning, it was the entire mess with El Salvador and Ábrego García being deported.

What are the actual facts? Well, you really have to dig to find them. They’re always behind the “read more” line in any article on a news site. Basically, García came to America illegally in 2011. Now, if that was the case (and it does seem to be correct), if he had no ties to any gangs or illegal operations, and his ONLY illegal act was in coming to America, he could have appealed to Obama for clemency. If that had happened, he would have been here legally by the time Trump came into office this time around. Regardless, he was granted “protection from deportation” (what does that mean? I can’t seem to find any info on it… Chris?) some years ago, and has been living with his wife and kid in Maryland. (BBC)

Kristi Noem has said, “This was just one of those examples of an individual that is a MS-13 gang member, multiple charges and encounters with the individuals here, trafficking in his background, was found with other MS-13 gang members—very dangerous person…” (DHS) So according to the director of DHS, García has multiple charges of being in MS-13, trafficking, and other stuff. I would VERY much like to see the paperwork involved with that, partly to shut up the Left, but also because I continue to have a healthy distrust of all things government and I like to check their information as much as I check anyone else’s. I don’t like it when we’re “told but not shown” stuff. It makes me wonder if they’re hiding things.

Regardless of all of the above, García was transported to El Salvador. At this point, he has been repatriated to his home country, whether that was the right thing to do or not. We no longer have any control over García because he is in the hands of his own government. We don’t get to say, “Hey, García was here illegally and should have been deported, but we want him back so we can run him through the court system to prove it well enough to make some of our citizens happy.” It doesn’t work that way. El Salvador isn’t required to send their citizens to another country, especially another country where they’re going to face possible legal trials. The fact that the president of El Salvador simply locked the dude up as a gang member doesn’t phase me.

When you dig far enough, you find that García claimed if he was deported, he’d be put into Cecot (the Terrorist Confinement System) in El Salvador. Why would he think that? Cecot is well known as being only for “the worst of the worst” (CNN), so if he was innocent as he claimed, he should have no fear of going to that prison (or any prison, but it’s a corrupt country so I can understand worry about general imprisonment). Cecot only houses the ones that will never get out, the murderers, rapists, and gang members who are so heinous that they’re considered animals, and are caged like ones. An innocent man should have no fear of being put into Cecot.

The bottom line is, if you really want to feel bad that García was sent to Cecot, go ahead. I feel bad for all the people in that prison. It’s not a nice place to be, and I’m sad that they were so animalistic that they required being housed in a zoo to keep them from harming others. It’s definitely a third world shithole, as many Right leaning friends call such places. They specifically put the men into cages open on all sides, with not enough bunks, and mixed (in other words, rival gangs are housed together). The general idea is that if they’re worried about being shanked, they’ll be less likely to be planning the shanking of someone else. Not having enough bunks means they have to share. Sharing causes people to become, at the very least, tolerant of one another. While there have been a few deaths there, 261 I believe, the basic idea is no one comes out alive anyhow (CBS). El Salvador used to be the most dangerous country in the world. Just a few years later, it’s now one of the safest. Actions speak loudly.

Now… from a slightly more Leftist stance, I do not like the idea of the American government just “making people disappear,” and that is sort of what is going on. However, the only people disappearing to other countries are people here illegally. I would go one step further and say that only people here illegally who have done Bad Things are being disappeared. Still, if a government does it for one part of society, they could do it for another. It bears watching and keeping an eye on, as with all governmental activity.

None of the people being removed from America are citizens, though. None of them. Some were here in a pseudo-legal state because of Obama and Biden, but the legality of their status was revoked when Trump got into office. Everyone knew it. It’s not like it was a surprise. If you were a person affiliated with gangs and terrorist organizations, the right time to leave was in January. Go wherever… but not here. I don’t really care about the folks who have come here and kept their heads down and try to just work and live their lives. The immigration system has been so borked for so many years that people who SHOULD be allowed in (people who have much to offer the country, people unlikely to receive social assistance, people with ideas and money to invest) have been pushed aside. And people who came legally and jumped through all the hoops were made to wait for decades, which is untenable. Maybe, with Trump’s system firmly in place, we can get back to letting in entrepreneurs, people with good work ethics, people who want to come here and make the American dream happen for them and their families.

As for Mr. García, trying to paint him as someone who is entirely guilt free is wrong. Once again, the media spin on it is so bad that it’s unbelievable. Unless you’re on the Left, I guess. And that makes me sad.

I saw a sticker the other day that said “Hands off Greenland!”

Now, I asked myself… did the person defiling that lamppost with that sticker really, really care about Greenland in any way? And, no matter how much I thought about it, it just kept coming back as “not a chance.”

Very few people in the USA even gave Greenland a tenth thought, forget a first or second. But, now… suddenly, it is so vital and important that the Government not even look at Greenland as a potential territory or state. Why is that?

    Oh… Because Trump is President.

Why is Garcia elevated to near sainthood? Because Trump is President.
Why was George Floyd elevated to sainthood? Same reason.

See a trend? The left does not care about the illegal aliens. They may have a bit of humanitarian compassion, but, politically, they illegals are tools they use. And, if Trump wants to deport them, the left will fight it tooth and nail.

I seriously believe that if President Trump said he wanted to throw the border wide open, and use taxpayer money to bring in more and more illegals, the left would shut that down so fast it would cause a sonic boom.
