According to social media posts and their website, Indivisible and the No Kings protest campaign have chosen yellow as their unity color.
Why It Matters: Several weeks ago, I reported that Indivisible, the country’s largest protest organizer, had spent an hour debating which color or symbol to use, and that an announcement was pending. I actually dislike this choice for them. Purple – as a combination of Blue America and Red America coming together to fight perceived fascism – would have been a much better choice as a unity color, in my opinion. “No Kings” as a slogan is pithy and allows the movement to claim ownership of America’s heritage of opposition to kings (“Rejecting Kings Since 1776,” as one sign reads), but still misses the point because President Trump is not a king, nor is he attempting to become one. I would not be surprised to see this color change as we get closer to 2028 because the imagery of Red and Blue America coming together is a very powerful strategic message, especially because so much of the main effort in a Color Revolution is about encouraging defections from the autocratic side to join the resistance. – M.S.

The House on Friday passed a resolution honoring slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk and rejecting the political violence of recent years.  The passage, however, was not without substantial opposition.  The vote was 310-58, with 95 Democrats joining all 215 Republicans in voting yes on the nonbinding resolution. The 58 no votes all came from Democrats, but another 38 Democrats voted present (would not take an open side) and another 22 Democrats did not vote.  In other words, 118 Democrats in Congress refused to support the resolution.
